BMCA Mural

ACS_0340 (1).png

The outside of an arts center should reflect the amazing and creative things going on inside, right?  For years the Black Mountain Center for the Arts dreamt of replacing the dated and worn paintings currently on our exterior wall and we made that dream come true! Our new mural was designed and installed, by Brushcan Murals of Asheville, NC.

This is not just a mural for us. It’s a mural for this community. For all of the artists, past, present, and future who have called Black Mountain home. For folks of all ages, of all walks of life, who have felt the call to express themselves through any art form. For visitors, who upon driving into our town, will immediately know how vibrant our community truly is. This is a mural that Black Mountain deserves.

The Process

This project was supported by the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to make this mural a reality
