These series of classes explore the performance arts of acting, play-making, pantomime, storytelling, and creative dramatics.
Storyteller and Theatre Artist, David Novak leads a creative theatre experience with every class, focusing on a wide variety of performance skills. Students will interpret poetry and scripts, improvise scenes, practice physical comedy, juggling, puppetry, and public speaking. Watch your child's self-confidence soar as their performance skills grow!
Payments can be taken by cash, check, or debit/credit card, either dropped off, mailed, or called in (for debit/credit) to the main office, Monday-Friday 10am-5pm.
About the instructor
Awarded the Circle of Excellence from the National Storytelling Network, David Novak is a veteran of the National Storytelling Festival, theatres and festivals across the United States. He has Keynoted and been Master Teacher internationally at the Czech Children’s Theatre Festival, Sydney International Storytelling Conference, and Singapore StoryFest. David’s tour-de-force performance as R. Buckminster Fuller, recently toured from Black Mountain to Krakow, Poland. His children’s play “Journeying Jack” received the 2016 Aurand Harris Memorial Playwriting Award for excellence in professional theatre for children. David is an A+ Fellow with North Carolina Arts Council, and a Teaching Artist for The Wolf Trap Institute for Early Childhood Education Through The Arts.
