Serving on the Board

Board members are critical sources of guidance and support for the Center. When selecting new Board members, we seek a balance of skills, interests, and experiences to ensure that the Center serves our community and vision of bringing art to the people and people to the arts. Along with ensuring the financial health and vitality of our

organization, Board members also support the Center with their time, effort, and resources.

BMCA Board Members:

  • attend monthly board meetings, providing input and guidance for the Center Executive Director

  • actively participate on Board committees and projects

  • serve as an ambassador for the Center in the community

  • support the Center by purchasing annual memberships

  • serve as volunteers for various activities that support Center programming and fundraising efforts

  • encourage community involvement and support of the center through sponsorships or fundraising activities

  • attend BMCA events and encourage friends and neighbors to do the same

  • stay connected and involved with the Center and other Board members
