The Swannanoa Valley Community Chorus is open to everyone, no matter one’s abilities or prior experience. Participants will learn how to breathe correctly, sight-read music, understand dynamics, learn to interpret music and text, while blending their voices to make music, not just sing notes. Chorus members will engage with a variety of musical styles and genres, with varying degrees of difficulty. While a significant portion of the chorus will focus simply on participants engaging with choral music and singing together, the Swannanoa Valley Community Chorus will also work toward presenting performances both at the Center and other venues such as retirement homes. These performances will be promoted by BMCA.
