Class information

Art Classes are designed for students ages 14 through adult, beginner through advanced. Using a step by step process, students learn the fundamentals of drawing, painting, design/composition, perspective, working with color and more. Students also learn how to add depth, contrast, dimension and power to their work.

Lessons are both fun and informative. They are tailored to meet the needs of the individual student according to their level of knowledge and experience.

Younger students and beginners are encouraged to try their hand at several mediums.
I offer instruction in Pencil. Charcoal. Colored Pencil, Pastel, Oils, Acrylics, Scratchboard, Pyrography, Pen and Ink,  Water Color and mixed media.

Subject matter is based on each students area of interest including, but not limited to landscape, wildlife, still life, abstract, portraits and floral. Each year students are given the unique opportunity to show their work in an Emerging Artists showcase. This annual show is open to the public and receives quite a bit of publicity.

Mosaic Planters

Session 1- Saturday, July 10 10am-1pm

Session 2- Sunday, July 11 4-5:30pm

$55/all supplies included

Adults • Beginners Welcome!

Whether you have dabbled in mosaics before or are completely new, this class will introduce you to the ancient art form of mosaics through the creation of your own, unique flower pot. In the first session, you will learn the basics of mosaic design, select and cut/break your ceramic pieces and adhere them to your pot. In the second session, you will learn how to grout your pot and will have a number of colors of grout to choose from. After just two sessions you will leave with a wonderful pot and the knowledge to make more!

What to Bring (Optional): All materials and supplies will be provided, but you may want to bring an apron and/or special items to add to your piece, such as ceramic or china plates, cups, tiles - broken or whole. Maybe you have been saving a broken piece of china from grandma’s collection and didn’t know what to do with it! Now’s your chance to give it a new purpose in life. We will not be working with stained glass, so please don’t bring that for this project. I will provide glass mosaic pieces if you are interested.

We prefer cash or check to avoid costly credit card fees. You may also pay via Paypal or by debit/credit card in our main office.
