- Beginner Adult Ballet: Foundations

- Custom Wedding Dances
Imagine a custom wedding dance to the song and style of your choice. Make a lasting impression for your first dance as newlyweds. You are in good hands with over 25 years of teaching and choreography experience. These lessons are offered as packs of three 55-minute sessions for $200. Use all three lessons for you and your partner, or two for you and one for your friends and family so everybody looks good on the dance floor.
- Ballroom 2 (A deeper dive for 2)
If you loved Ballroom 1, Ballroom 2 is how you keep the sparks flying. Expand your knowledge with more dances, more steps, and more fun as you and your partner deepen your connection on the dance floor. Because the best relationships keep growing. In this intermediate class, you'll refine the essential elements that make great dancers: style, tempo, hip motion, footwork, and frame. These are the components that will make you confident and skilled on any dance floor, at any venue—turning every wedding, date night, or special occasion into your moment to shine together. You'll continue building your repertoire and confidence as you learn to dance to slow, medium, and fast-paced music. Move with your partner, raise your heart rate, and discover new ways to connect through the joy of dance. There's something incredibly romantic about moving as one, anticipating each other's steps, and creating beauty together. This Valentine's season, give yourselves the gift of quality time that keeps on giving. - Contemporary 2/3 (Ages 10 - 18)
Step into a dynamic and expressive class designed for dancers ready to elevate their contemporary training! Contemporary 2/3 blends the energy of jazz, the fluidity of lyrical, the grounded movement of modern, and the creative freedom of contemporary technique. Geared toward dancers with some prior experience—and welcoming dedicated beginners ages 11+—this class builds on foundational skills while introducing more challenging technique. Each week, dancers will develop flexibility, strength, musicality, and coordination through floorwork, turns, leaps, traveling phrases, and center combinations. They’ll also deepen their confidence and artistry through guided improvisation and expressive choreography. Contemporary 2/3 is the perfect bridge between exploring movement and refining it—supporting growing dancers as they expand their technique, creativity, and performance quality. Join us this summer for an adorable 30-minute pop-up class with your Toddler. We will wiggle, giggle, jump and dance together, helping your little one improve their balance and rhythm. - Kids in Motion 1 (Ages 3-4)
In this class, young students will be able to experience the joys of dance while developing coordination, imagination, memory, musicality, and motor skills. Students will learn the fundamentals of various dance styles through exciting themed classes. Each class will be filled with age-appropriate dance skills, fun movement activities, and plenty of opportunities to foster creativity and cooperation. (This class has an end-of-season recital option in May)
- Tap 1 (Ages 7-9)
Join us every Tuesday at 4:00 PM for Tap 1, a beginner tap class perfect for young students who want to explore music and movement. No previous dance experience is required for this fun and welcoming class. Appropriately fitting tap shoes are required. This class fuses Broadway Dance, Jazz, and Rhythmic Tap for a well-rounded introduction to the tap genre. Students will learn to create sounds with their tap shoes, accompanied by music, to develop an understanding of rhythm, performance, and musicality. Each week, dancers will enhance their strength and coordination through warm-up exercises, across-the-floor combinations, center floor work, and excerpts of choreography. By participating in creative movement activities and games, students will create fun memories and friendships, all while familiarizing themselves with early concepts of dance history and improvisation. This class offers an optional end-of-season recital in May. Tuesdays 4:00 - 4:45 Ages 7-9 $55/month

Make music an exciting part of your child’s life! Each week in Music Together® classes, babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grownups who love them® come together for 45 minutes of fun-filled family time. You’ll have so much fun singing, dancing, playing, and laughing that you may not realize how much learning is taking place. We can help your child grow into a confident music-maker while also tapping into all the developmental benefits that music brings. And as you discover fun ways to play with music and rhythms all week long, you’ll be supporting your child’s music-learning and overall development. At Music Together, music is learned through developmentally appropriate activities that support and respect the learning styles of all participants. Everyone is encouraged to participate at their own level. MoveAbility is a fun, inclusive dance class where kids and teens of all abilities can explore movement, music, and self-expression! Classes meet Mondays from 5:30–6:15 PM, at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts. These pay-what-you-wish, 45-minute sessions include warm-ups, creative games, and chances to dance solo, with a partner, or in a group—no experience needed! We welcome all young movers, including those with disabilities or mobility aids, and anyone looking for a joyful, supportive space to move and connect. Come dance with us!
